CALL FOR PAPERS
Information and communication technologies (ICTs)
will continue to play a central role in the transformation to an information
society and to provide opportunities for sustainable development and new social
networks. ICTs will continue to bring many challenges and opportunities to the
development of our societies around the globe.
During the past 20 years,
the ITS ( http://www.itsworld.org ) has
continued to provide a vital meeting place and to shape debates, despite the
telecom industrys ups and downs. ITS provides an independent forum where experts
and decision makers from the private sector, government and academic
institutions meet to identify important emerging problems and issues, share
research results, and form new relationships to develop innovative solutions to
industry problems.
The 16th Biennial Conference of ITS ( http://www.its2006bupt.org ) is an
opportunity for experts and decision makers to share their vision regarding the
topic of “Information Communication Technology (ICT): Opportunities and
Challenges for Telecommunications”. The conference chairs would like to invite
you to submit abstracts on any topic related to the conference theme. Suggested
topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following(in the next
web page):
An electronic version of an abstract (in English) of 400-500
words with the authors affiliation and e-mail address, or a session proposal of
600-700 words with all panelists affiliations and e-mail addresses, should be
submitted online via the conference website, www.its2006bupt.org. For session
proposals, please mark clearly the contacting person for communication. Authors
can also submit an abstract by e-mail to its@its2006bupt.org if there are problems
with the online submission. All abstracts and session proposals are due on or
before November 25, 2005 .
Distinguished papers may be
considered for publication in an edited book or special issues of relevant
academic journals.
